Navigation & Memory Systems Lab

The Challenge:
Opening at the University of Alberta, the lab needed an identity from scratch — one that could visually represent navigation and how the brain processes and stores spatial information, for a lab studying exactly that.

The Solution:
A modular, open-ended system built on a simple grid and the lab's initials, where space is represented through the connections between letters. An original graphic element stands in for an artificial navigator, while a colour palette drawn from neural activity anchors a visual language built to extend across every application.
